Very rare 1950’s Military Air Police badge, which was the official designation for what is now Security Forces during the late 1950’s to mid-1960’s. The badge shows the familiar eagle, departmental lettering, and serial number – typical features of the era when these were issued.
This badge belonged to Michael Buxton of the USAF 48th Air Police Squadron, stationed at U.S Air Force Lakenheath during the 1950’s. The badge was attached to the pocket of Michael Buxton’s USAF Air Police uniform.
Condition: Excellent
U.S Air Force Lakenheath is based in the United Kingdom but controlled by the USAF since the cold war, it is the largest U.S Air Force base in Europe.
